Healing is personal and there are so many tools out there.
Some I haven’t gotten around to yet, and others I’m just beginning to explore.
These might not be part of my journey right now, but they could be meaningful and powerful for you.
Many of these i've gathered through friend's feedback, reddit posts, books and articles I read
Lifespan Integration (LI) - In progress : Also known as Intégration du Cycle de la Vie (ICV) in French, this therapy works with memory and timeline integration to heal trauma gently. I’ve started it, but I don’t have enough hindsight yet, to be able to give my impression.
Neurofeedback: This is a brain-training technique designed to regulate the nervous system by giving real-time feedback on brainwave activity. It’s something I’m curious about, especially for trauma and anxiety support, but haven’t tried it yet, but a friend of mine has started it and is delighted with her progress.
Microdosing: The intentional use of small, sub-perceptual doses of psychedelics (often psilocybin) as a tool for mental health. I haven’t experimented with this myself, but I know people who’ve found it helpful under professional guidance. people like Tim Ferriss and Elisabeth Gilbert have both experienced this to treat their trauma and discuss this on the Team Ferriss Show podcast which I loved hearing about. I haven't tried it yet, for multiple reasons, one of which is, i'm afraid of doing drugs and getting addicted. The second is, this is harder to find in France, where I live.
Nonviolent Communication (NVC): I’ve started dipping my toes into NVC. It’s a gentle, structured way of expressing needs and emotions without blame or conflict—and I feel like it has a lot of potential for healing relationships, including the one with myself. I love everything about it. I actually did a two day workshop in Bali, where i was studying the Nonviolent Communication (NVC) from a buddhist perspective. It was so enlightening. I may write an article on that experience, which as not transformative but brought me some peace and actionnable tools. i'd love to keep looking into this, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
Breathwork Workshops: I already do a lot of breathing on my own, as it’s a powerful tool for me to regulate my nervous system, however I’ve never done any breath work workshops or ceremonies. This one is something I’m still wanting and willing to try. I’ve done gentle breath work through yoga, but there are deeper, more intentional practices out there. Some people find them life-changing, I’m still figuring out what type feels right for me and which ones to experiment first.
