Part 2 — Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using otterlyanxious.com ("the Site," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Health & medical disclaimer (please read)
Otterly Anxious is a personal experience blog, reflections, and tools that have helped the author navigate anxiety and complex trauma. It is not medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. Nothing on the Site creates a therapist–client, doctor–patient, or any other professional relationship. Always seek the advice of a licensed health professional with any questions about a medical or mental-health condition. Never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you read here.
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact emergency services or a crisis line immediately.
In France, call the national suicide-prevention line 3114 (free, 24/7), or 112 across the EU.
Otterly Anxious is not a crisis service and cannot provide emergency support. You use any tool, technique, or suggestion on the Site at your own discretion and risk.
3. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — text, articles, illustrations, visual identity, and design — is owned by Marine Crouzet or used with permission, and is protected by copyright. You may share links and quote short excerpts with clear attribution and a link back. You may not republish, reproduce, or redistribute substantial portions, or use the content commercially, without prior written permission.
4. Third-party links and recommendations
The Site links to and recommends third-party resources (books, podcasts, professionals, websites). These are shared in good faith. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, services, or practitioners, and a recommendation is not a guarantee or endorsement of any outcome. Any decision to engage a professional or purchase a resource is yours alone.
5. Affiliate disclosure
Some outbound links may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you if you purchase through them. This never affects what we recommend or what you pay.
6. Newsletter
If you subscribe, you agree to receive emails from Otterly Anxious. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
7. Privacy
Your personal data is handled in line with our [Privacy Policy] and the GDPR. Please review the Privacy Policy to understand what we collect and why.
8. User conduct
If the Site allows comments or messages, you agree not to post unlawful, harmful, abusive, or infringing content. We may remove content or restrict access at our discretion.
9. No warranties
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Marine Crouzet and Otterly Anxious shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss or harm arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site or its content. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, with the "last updated" date revised.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute falls under the competent courts of France, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
